Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation is currently looking to appoint an Emergency Services Officer to join its site-based team.
Situated on site in Ravensthorpe which is approx. 550 kilometres south-east of Perth, this role is offered on an 8/6 roster either FIFO from Perth or residentially, offering you the opportunity to live in the idealic coastal community of Hopetoun
FQMAN are currently seeking Emergency Services Officers to support the Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation. Reporting to the Senior Safety Advisor, the Emergency Services Officers are responsible for the emergency response and medical services on site.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Coordinating the injury management and rehabilitation of personnel
Liaising with the local GP and Poisons Permit holder
Establishing and maintaining medical files for employees and contractors and ensuring security and confidentiality of such records
Conducting clinical assessments and treatments of injuries and illnesses and advising the H&S team of the status of the injured person
Coordinating and conducting testing as per the RNO Fitness for Work procedure
Conducting regular inspections of emergency equipment
Assisting in the development of emergency procedures
Assisting with site-wide evacuation and fire warden training
Developing the RNO Emergency Response team members and delivery of weekly training
Liaising with the local fire brigades and RNO neighbours to assist with community emergency planning
The successful applicant will possess:
An Industrial Paramedic or Cert IV in Pre-Hospital Care; and in Industrial Emergency Response
A certification in the following: Urban Fire Fighting, Open Circuit SCBA, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, HAZMAT, Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification
At least five years’ experience as an Emergency Services Officer
Previous experience working on a remote mine site is essential
