The Faculty of Health provides high quality research and education, the latter specifically attuned to health workforce needs and reform. The Faculty engages with Tasmania as a ‘living laboratory’ to develop innovative approaches to quality health care, particularly in the areas of chronic disease management and diseases associated with ageing, to address fundamental health care issues facing Australia. This is achieved by undertaking applied, clinical and biomedical research of international significance, with Faculty research strengths in dementia and translational neuroscience, the prevention and management of chronic disease, health care services and technology-enhanced learning and teaching.
The appointee will have responsibility for delivering components of the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice, Bachelor of Paramedic Practice Conversion Pathway and content in other Faculty courses. The position involves teaching, assessment and administration, primarily at the Rozelle campus but also teaching at the Hobart campus as required. The appointee may be required to teach into other paramedic related and biomedical programs of the School. A high degree of interaction with other members of the University of Tasmania, and with educators of the Ambulance Services will be required. The appointee will also be involved in curriculum development and will assist in overall coordination of the paramedic program including undergraduate, postgraduate and/or research higher degree programs. The position requires research and scholarship aligned with the strategic research priorities of the Division and School.

An appointment at Level C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $138,596 per annum (comprising salary within the range $103,379 - $118,458 plus 17% superannuation, with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation).
