Location: Gold Coast Local Ambulance Service Network, Pimpama
The MCE reports to the LASN accountable manager & is responsible for managing the QAS education portfolio in the LASN, maintaining ongoing best practice education course content to meet the clinical needs of the service. The position manages a team of Clinical Education staff, with a focus on ensuring a high quality standard of clinical & general education & development for operational staff within the LASN. The MCE will contribute actively to the achievement of QAS business objectives & key performance indicators (KPI’s) determined by the Commissioner. As the MCE, it is expected the position will provide a high level of support to the LASN accountable manager in delivering organisational reform outcomes, contributing to the overall future direction of QAS and ensuring quality, timely & appropriate range of pre hospital care and transport services are provided to the Qld community.

The following mandatory requirements, special
conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role: Applicants must
have a minimum of an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance);
certification to practice as a Paramedic in Queensland; or equivalent
qualifications, as deemed appropriate by the Commissioner, QAS.
Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland “C” Class Driver’s Licence (for a manual motor car) prior to closing date for applicants. (Interstate and International applicants must hold an equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to obtain a Queensland Driver’s Licence upon appointment).
Applicants must possess a minimum of Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training competencies or equivalent.
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
