Tasmanian Ambulance Service Award, Paramedic Year 1 to Year 6 (Base).
Position TypeFixed-Term casual shift work, working as and when required, commencing ASAP for a period of 12 months.
Location Ambulance Tasmania, Burnie.
Duties - Ambulance Tasmania provides emergency ambulance care, rescue and transport services and a non-emergency patient transport service through a network of 50 stations State-wide. Ambulance Tasmania are looking for casual Paramedics to provide the service of provision of pre-hospital care and the transport of patients by Ambulance or other means. Essential Requirements -
Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science and relevant work experience or other qualification approved by the Service.
Current Drivers LicenceThe Commissioner has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1) Conviction check in the following areas: a) Crimes of violence; b) Sex related offences; c) Serious drug offences; d) Crimes involving dishonesty; and e) Serious traffic offences.
2) Identification check.
3) Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
