Ambulance Victoria (AV) is currently recruiting a Clinical Support Manager for the Metropolitan West Region. This is a full time, permanent position to be based in the Region appointed.
Participating as a member of Regional Management and reporting to the Quality & Education Services division, the Clinical Support Manager provides expert, specialist clinical advice, support and education to the Metropolitan West Region to improve statewide clinical and operational performance and emergency ambulance service delivery to the community. This includes coordinating and facilitating the implementation of statewide clinical programs and operational education programs for paramedics and volunteers, and identifying trends and facilitating improvements in line with Clinical Quality Assurance and Clinical Risk Management frameworks.
Reporting to the Manager Clinical Operation, your key areas of responsibility as Clinical Support Manager include:
Clinical performance management
Clinical program support and education
Quality assurance and clinical risk management
Operational response
Relationship management and engagement
Leadership and performance management
Budget/financial management
To be considered for this position you will need demonstrated experience at a senior clinical level supported by a clinical qualification and certification as a MICA Paramedic or equivalent, together with a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. You will have significant working knowledge of ambulance or allied service clinical operations, standards and regulations, and demonstrated experience in the delivery of clinical advice and support services through the application of contemporary clinical education practices and frameworks.
As a manager of Clinical Support Officers your people management abilities and talent for leading, coaching and developing others will be imperative. Using your exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills you will be experienced in building strong, effective and collaborative relationships. A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and teamwork is expected. Applicants must hold a current Victorian drivers' licence.
