An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced HSE Coordinator/Paramedic to join our mine relocation project. This position will be offered on a casual basis, on a FIFO 2/1 Roster for the duration of the current project however may lead to future works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Respond to site medical emergencies and provide general medical coverage on a remote site
Operate and maintain site ambulance and medical facilities
Promote and drive a safety culture of "Zero Harm"
Ensure business activities comply with legislative and client requirements
Providing timely and accurate information for reporting and tendering requirements
Lead and participate in safety and environmental audits and work area inspections
Provide advice to construction personnel on risk management strategies and processes
Review and contribute to the ongoing development of the Project Safety Management Plan, project safety policies and procedures
Ensure all site construction personnel participate in and adopt safe working practices as part of their daily duties and responsibilities
Facilitate the application of required procedures, policies and site conduct
The ideal candidate will have the following:
A minimum of 3 years experience in a HSEQ role, preferably in the engineering or resource sector
Certificate IV in OHS or equivalent
Experience as a paramedic in remote areas
Relevant Paramedic qualifications
Must have strong working knowledge of the relevant legislation
Possess a high level of communication skill, capable of conversing at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders
Current Australian manual drivers license
The position is available for an immediate start and would ideally suit Western Australian based candidates.
