Wilson Security is progressing through a time of substantial growth and as a result, we have an opportunity for a Mine Site Paramedic/ESO to work on a site for a leading mining organisation in the Bowen Basin. We require someone who holds a formal paramedic and mines rescue qualifications and has experience in the mining industry.
This role will suit a proactive individual who has experience and knowledge of a mine site paramedic, including incident command/control, emergency operations and responding to medical treatment cases.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
Provision of effective and efficient emergency services, including prevention, preparedness and response;
Provision of First Aid / Medical treatment;
Response to emergency incidents on mine site;Conducting regular inspection of emergency equipment;
Assisting in the development of emergency procedures;
Providing technical / practical support and services where required;
Drug and Alcohol Testing;
Assist in any incident and accident investigations as required;
Provision of security to mine site.
You will possess the following:
Minimum P3 Advanced Care Paramedic or equivalent;
Diploma of degree qualified in paramedical science or equivalent;
RII30709 - Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (Comprising Fire Fighting, Confined Space Rescue, Vertical Rescue & Road Accident Rescue)
2 years mining or heavy industry experience;
Apply First Aid Certificate;
Qld Rehabilitation and Return to Work certificate;
Formal qualification in Audiometry;
Drug and Alcohol Screening qualification;
Certificate IV Training and Assessment;
Basic computer literacy;
Coal Board Medical (assessed for Mines Rescue);
Standard 11/Generic Induction;
Current medium rigid Drivers Licence.
Whilst not essential, holding the following will set you a step above the rest:
RIIVEH305A - Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle
Certificate II in Security Operations/Security Licence
