Clinical Triage Specialist
Following the initial training period, applicants are welcome to express an interest in permanent part time and full time positions, should they become available The Referral Service provides a critical function within Ambulance Victoria as a co-ordination point for ambulance callers who do not require emergency ambulance intervention and can be better managed through an alternate service provider. Referral Service Call Takers are responsible for conducting telephone triage aimed at identifying and providing an appropriate and co-ordinated health management response. To apply for a Referral Service Call Taker position, applicants must be a qualified Registered Nurse Division 1 or tertiary qualification in Pre-hospital care, with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience in triage, ICU,CCU or similar OR a Paramedic with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, working for an emergency ambulance service. Previous training and experience in clinical telephone triage is advantageous. This role offers attractive remuneration and generous leave arrangements.
