Paramedic

To qualify for this position, you will bring clinical skills in the operations and delivery of high quality of pre-hospital care in an emergency service, mission critical environment.

We are seeking applicants who have:
High standard of clinical care and knowledge to provide effective pre-hospital patient care.
Clinical reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills to assess patient’s needs and review patient health care records in determining best care alternatives. Demonstrated well developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills.

Planning and organisational skills to effectively manage time and prioritise workload, with the ability to manage stress and maintain performance under pressure without negative impact on self or others.

Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team assisting fellow team members toward completion of goals.
Demonstrated medical and physical fitness as determined by Ambulance to safely undertake all the duties of Ambulance work.

Mandatory Qualifications
Applicants must have a minimum of an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance); certification to practice as a Paramedic in Queensland; or equivalent qualifications, as deemed appropriate by the Commissioner, QAS.


Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland “C” Class Driver’s Licence (for a manual motor car) prior to closing date for applicants. (Interstate and International applicants must hold an equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to obtain a Queensland Driver’s Licence upon appointment).
