Ambulance Victoria is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our vibrant, fast paced Communications team. Based in our Communications Centre in Burwood, you will be the first point of contact answering calls from a variety of stakeholders and providing routine administrative support including scheduling meal breaks for our paramedics.
This position will be working an average of 25.5 hours per week with varying shift lengths. Currently the earliest start time is 9.30am and the latest finish time is 10.30pm, on a 5 week rotating roster. As the Communications Centre is 24 hour, seven day operation, there is a requirement to work aftrenoon shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Please note: Shift penalties will apply to evening and weekend shifts.
To be successful in this demanding role we would expect you to possess:
• Demonstrated previous administration experience
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and ideally Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
• Exceptional organisation and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a challenging and demanding environment
