Our client is currently looking for an experienced Emergency Services Coordinator for a large scale engineering project in the North West of WA. Their Australia operation holds a position of dominance as a
leading engineering contractor and is backed by recent industry awards for safety performance.
Reporting into the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and complete emergency response service to the project.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing direction and deliver training programs to ensure compliance and capability across all Emergency Response activities
Managing the Emergency Response system, in addition to auditing policy and procedure, and providing recommendations to improve prevention, preparedness, response and recovery components
Contributing to Emergency Response team leadership by providing input on KPIs and quality targets
Working with the HSEQ team to develop tool box talks and participate in HSE site audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments
Managing and administering emergency response, first aid, CPR, rescue operations and drug and alcohol screening
Overseeing and ensuring maintenance schedule compliance on Emergency Response equipment and vehicles
To succeed in this role formal industrial paramedic qualifications are mandatory, with Paramedical Science degree advantageous, as is demonstrative experience in vehicle, rope and fire rescue and operating closed and open circuit breathing apparatus. As a preference these qualifications and experience will be supported by a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. A current drivers’ licence is essential. Previous experience within a heavy industry environment is sought.
