Ambulance Victoria (AV) now welcomes applications for the full time position of Clinical Education Program Officer. Applicants require a relevant qualification in Education & Training, and a qualification as an Advanced Life Support or Intensive Care paramedic is advantageous to the success of this role. Located in South Melbourne, you will have sound knowledge of adult learning principles as well as experience in developing and monitoring curriculums. Demonstrated knowledge in workplace training and education systems, frameworks and strategy are essential to the ongoing development of this role.
Reporting to the Clinical Education Curriculum Development Manager, the primary focus of this role is to develop and review curriculum and other related programs ensuring best practice and flexible delivery learning initiatives (suitable for adult learning) for operational staff throughout AV. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide input into the design and review of curriculum in conjunction with internal stakeholders
Provide advice on clinical and training needs associated with new clinical practices, procedures and processes
Develop clinical education and training programs for groups such as Graduate Ambulance Paramedics
Develop clinical education and training programs to support continued education for career and volunteer staff
Work closely with other educational areas such as Driving Standards and Vocational Programs to ensure curriculum is supported
Strong communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills to gain acceptance of ideas as well as collaboration and cooperation of others is paramount to success in this role. Applicants are also required to have a current drivers licence.
The remuneration for this position is $88,000 + super + salary packaging.
