Safety Department Representative/Paramedic

Diamond Offshore owns and operates one of the largest fleets of offshore drilling units in the world. As a leader in deepwater drilling, Diamond Offshore provides contract drilling services to the energy industry around the globe. We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Department Representative/Paramedic to work on our offshore rigs within the Australasian region.
In this role you will work within the Safety team to respond to injuries or accidents which occur on the rig. This position is heavily involved in the development and constant improvement of all safety procedures and risk assessments. You will support the HSE Manager when required and provide support for all personnel on the rig regarding medical and safety issues.
This position is responsible for providing training on board the rig including safety case requirements and inductions to all new personnel. In the event of an incident the Safety Department Representative/Paramedic will provide medical assistance and conduct investigations. The maintenance of accurate records and reports is highly essential.
To be successful for this role, you will have:
1 year safety experience in the drilling industry is preferred, however will consider other similar industry experience
Must be a qualified Paramedic or equivalent
Proficient in Incident Investigation and associated reporting
A working knowledge of the Australian Safety Case regime is preferable
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
