Diamond Offshore owns and operates one of the largest fleets of offshore drilling units in the world. As a leader in deepwater drilling, Diamond Offshore provides contract drilling services to the energy industry around the globe. We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Department Representative/Paramedic to work on our offshore rigs within the Australasia region.
In this role you will work within the Safety team to provide support and advice to the rig management and crews regarding matters of safety offshore. The successful candidate will be required to do the following:
Ensure compliance with the Diamond Offshore procedures and Facility Safety Case
- Assist in the administration of Diamond Offshore’s safety management system
- Assist with Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis
- Provide training to offshore crews in accordance with the rig based training program
- Conduct Incident Investigations in accordance with Diamond Offshore procedures
- Provide emergency treatment for any injuries or illnesses
- Maintain accurate reports and documents in line with the corporate document retention schedule
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- 1 year safety experience in the drilling industry is preferred, however will consider other similar industry experience
- Must be a qualified Paramedic or equivalent
- Proficient in Incident Investigation and associated reporting
- A working knowledge of the Australian Safety Case regime is preferable
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

28 shifts OFF roster. Suitably qualified candidates currently residing
