We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Paramedic to join our Emergency Response Team based on Curtis Island off the coast of Gladstone, Queensland. This is a casual position with regular hours on a FIFO or DIDO 1:1 week night shift rotation. You will need to be based in Brisbane, Rockhampton or Gladstone.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Provide a high standard of emergency and routine ambulance and patient care, in accordance with Falck Policies and procedures
• Provide emergency care in basic and advanced life support
• Assist with minor/routine medical cases when not responding to emergency medical cases
• Attend site occupational health & safety meetings and participate in occupational health inspections as well as accommodation health inspections
• Participate in emergency drills on site
Key selection criteria and experience required:
• Must have either degree or diploma in Paramedical Science
• Must hold qualification in Drug and Alcohol Screening
• Must hold a current Certificate of Practice with a State Ambulance Service
• Current and valid Drivers Licence and 4WD Driving Certificate
• Extensive experience working as a Paramedic
• Strong experience with remote trauma/ emergency and advanced life support skills in an occupational and/ or construction work setting.
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills and understanding of privacy requirements in a medical setting
• Previous experience working in a FIFO role
