About the role
Reporting to the Manager Events, this role provides
front line care medical retrieval and health related support for sick
and injured persons in an emergency and non-emergency setting whilst
accurately assessing and documenting patient’s
health and medical needs to determine and implement appropriate
paramedical care in line with St John (NSW) policy and procedures.
Qualifications/Skills
• Qualified Paramedic with a current Certificate to Practice;
• Diploma of Paramedical Science or Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) or equivalent;
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities in dynamic, often time critical, environments;
• Ability to work in and lead teams including mentoring and coaching;
• Effective high order clinical decision making and communication skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced clinical skills, including patient assessment and interventions;
• Experienced team leadership and scene management skills;
• Proven understanding of policy, procedure and guidelines, particularly relating to Event Health Services events;
• Comprehension of the necessity to think ahead and make sound decisions in a clinical setting;
• The successful candidate should be available to work contracted hours at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
