As part of an exciting new initiative, Ambulance Victoria (AV) is currently recruiting an Advanced Clinical Education Facilitator for our Quality & Education Services division. This full-time permanent position located at our South Melbourne office is governed by the Ambulance Victoria (Management & Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2010.
Reporting to the Clinical Education Delivery Manager, the primary objective of this position is to deliver Clinical Education curriculum to AV staff in line with AV's standards and expectations.
As a Clinical Education Facilitator your responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
Planning and delivering high quality Clinical Education sessions and individual remedial programs utilising best practice adult learning principles
Assessing students, evaluating sessions, and monitoring participant progress
Building strong relationships with managers and students to facilitate quality learning outcomes
Contributing to the development of curriculum/training competency frameworks
Maintaining a high level of knowledge in relation to clinical education best practices and research
Please note that in order to fulfil the requirements of this role the successful applicant will be required to maintain their clinical competence. This will require the successful applicant to work approximately 10% of their ordinary hours working operational shifts at times agreed with your manager. These requirements have been taken into account in determining the salary for this position.
The salary for this position is $81,000 per annum plus superannuation and benefits, such as salary packaging and Accrued Days Off (ADOs). Usual business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm (excluding operational shifts required for clinical competency maintenance).
To be considered for this role, you will need qualification as a MICA Paramedic (or equivalent experience in an ambulance service or similar health context) and demonstrated training facilitation and assessment experience in an adult learning environment. It is expected you will have knowledge and experience of workplace training and education systems, frameworks and strategy, including an understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
You will be an exceptional communicator with advanced interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong time management, analytical thinking, and sound problem solving abilities will be essential to succeed in this role. A current Victorian drivers' licence or interstate equivalent is required.
