We are currently seeking an experienced Paramedic/HSE Advisor for our projects located near Dalby / Chinchilla. You will be employed on a project hire basis with Thiess Industrial projects, and whilst working on this project you will work on a 14/7 roster from Brisbane. It will be camp accommodation located 3.5 hours inland from Brisbane and bus transport will be provided to the project.
To be successful in this role you will actively facilitate all project personnel in safe work practices, through the effective utilisation of Thiess policies, procedures, systems, and training. This will be in accordance with the expectations of Thiess, the client and regulatory framework.
You will:
Promote and develop a safety culture of "Beyond Zero Harm";
Lead and participate in safety and Environmental audits and work area inspections;
Provide advice to construction personnel on risk management strategies and processes;
Review and contribute to the ongoing development of the Project Safety Management Plan, project safety policies and procedures;
Ensure all site construction personnel participate in and adopt safe working practices as part of their daily duties and responsibilities;
Facilitate and educate line management and workforce personnel in the application of required procedures, policies and site conduct;
Provide input to safety training presentations provided by the safety department and assist with training delivery where required.
Applicants will possess:
Must have experience working as a Paramedic/HSE Advisor within heavy industry/ construction environment;
Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field;
Relevant Paramedic qualifications
Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or willingness to obtain;
Must have strong working knowledge of the relevant legislation;
Possess a high level of communication skill, capable of conversing at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders;
