Ambulance Paramedic - Sales

Ambulance Victoria currently has a full time permanent Advanced Life Support Paramedic position at Sale in the Gippsland region. The Sale branch operates on a 10/14 roster.

Located in the centre of Gippsland, approximately 260 kilometres east of Melbourne, Sale is the gateway to East Victoria, the Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach, mountains and many other exciting tourist destinations. The historic Port of Sale has been preserved and redeveloped with extensive berthing facilities, a boardwalk, fishing platform, boat ramp and BBQ facilities. Adjacent to the port precinct is the Gippsland Art Gallery, council offices and the town's performing arts centre. Sale has a diverse industry including agriculture, retail & professional services, and companies including the Esso (Longford Gas Plant), Nylex Plastics Factory and the East Sale RAAF base.
Selection will be based on the following criteria:
Current ALS certification
Demonstrated high standards of patient care
Demonstrated clinical competence
Ability to work independently with a variety of staff, including Ambulance Community Officers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Effective team member
Problem solving and analysis skills
High level of safety awareness and compliance

Conditions of employment will be as specified in the Ambulance Victoria Enterprise Agreement 2009.
