This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic senior academic leader with a proven track record of success in teaching, learning and research to lead a large, fast growing School. The focus is on academic leadership in this recently formed School, with a commitment to community building and strong external relationships. The School of Health Sciences comprises the following broad program areas:
• Nursing, including Midwifery, Paramedic, Emergency Care and Aged Care.
• Human Movement, Sport Sciences, Physical Recreation and Fitness.
• Psychology.
• Biomedical Science.
• Nutrition and Food Science.
• Occupational Health and Safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have: a sound knowledge and understanding of the tertiary and vocational education and training sectors in Australia; a commitment to international education; excellent leadership capabilities, including the ability to initiate and lead change within a complex and dynamic tertiary education institution; experience in managing staff and budgets. You will also have a proven track record in industry liaison and understand industry trends and developments.
A doctorate or equivalent is required for this full-time, five year fixed-term professorial position.
