The role of Officer in Charge is a key operational role within the QAS reporting directly to the LASN accountable manager. The Officer in Charge position assumes the full responsibility of the provision of ambulance services within the Stations operational location in the delivery of ‘front-line’ operational service delivery and key performance indicators. The Officer in Charge is pivotal in the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with QHealth and other relevant stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Applicants must have a minimum of an Associate Diploma of Applied
Science (Ambulance; certification to practice as a Paramedic in
Queensland; or equivalent qualifications, as deemed appropriate by the
Commissioner, QAS
- Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland “C” Class
Driver’s Licence (for a manual motor car) prior to closing date for
applicants. (Interstate and International applicants must hold an
equivalent licence at the time of applying and will be expected to
obtain a Queensland Driver’s Licence upon appointment).
