The Role
Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Services Officer to join the HSEC team at our Orebody 18 Project based out of Newman. This position will operate on a 2/1 roster - flying into Newman from Perth.

Reporting to the Emergency Services Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Providing assistance and advise to the Management team on Emergency Prevention, preparedness and response & recovery as needed
Assist with the implementation, preparation, monitoring and revision of the Health and Emergency Response Plans and associated documents
Conducting routine maintenance of all Security and ER equipment
Ensuring team members have adequate training and development opportunities to competently fulfil their roles and support the team
Liaising with the relevant external entities on subjects pertinent to Emergency Response
Contribute to the development of the emergency response budget on an annual basis or as needed basis
Conducting and monitoring team risk management activities
Workplace inspections

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III in Public Safety Fire and Emergency Operations and Industrial Paramedic Certificate or equivalent. The ability to create, implement and review systems & procedures as well as holding a MR Drivers Licence or higher will be an advantage. The understanding of Mine Safety & Inspection Act 1994 are also an essential criteria.

You will also possess strong organisational skill and be a positive role model for others in aspects such as technical training, work behaviour, professional development and job motivation. This position will allow you to build on your current experience and make a significant contribution into the short, medium and long term visions of the OHS team.
