One of Victoria's largest providers of Medical Transport Services is currently recruiting a General Manager to provide high quality operational and strategic management and leadership.Operating a fleet of specialist patient transport vehicles, our client provides services to Ambulance Victoria, major hospitals, the Transport Accident Commission, Workcover Authority and others. In addition they also provide Paramedic Standby Services at sporting and other high profile events as well as logistical support for Melbourne's Neonatal Emergency Transport Service.

As the General Manager you will be responsible for delivering high quality and cost effective patient transport services. This will include ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures, providing direction and support to the management team and liaising with customers and patients. You will also be required to manage the fleet both in terms of the depot location and their working condition.

To make an impact in this role, you will have strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze data and present findings to the Board. With strong tendering and negotiation skills, you will have previous success in winning new contracts. It is essential that you hold a tertiary qualification in healthcare, business or management and have extensive senior management experience. Previous patient transport or healthcare experience will be highly regarded as will experience of fleet management across a wide geographical area.
