Lecturer Paramedic Practice, Rozelle

Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which will be offered on a full-time or fractional time tenurable basis.
The School of Medicine has innovative education programs, including a new Bachelors Degree in Paramedic Practice which is currently being offered from the Hobart and Rozelle (Sydney) campuses. As well as its MBBS course the School also undertakes extensive teaching in medical sciences for a range of other programs including Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Science. It has a strong alliance with the Menzies Research Institute and the two bodies co-locate in a new, purpose-built campus at the start of the 2010 teaching year.

The appointee will have professional qualifications in Paramedic Practice or a related health profession and have experience in involvement in teaching health profession students in a tertiary or industrial setting. The position involves teaching, assessment and administration of the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice Degree at the Rozelle campus.. A high degree of interaction with staff members from other Schools in the Faculty of Health Science and with Government and private clinical providers will be required.

The appointee will be expected to participate actively in quality assurance and the development of flexible teaching and learning and assessment.

A full-time appointment at will have a total remuneration of up to $111,499 (comprising salary within the range $80,824-$95,298 plus 17 percent superannuation, with the option of an additional 3 percent salary loading in exchange for 14 percent instead of 17 percent superannuation).
