This posting is for Paramedic positions at all Gold Cross locations; Duluth, St. Cloud, Rochester, Austin, Mankato, Owatonna, Fairmont, Albert Lea, Barron, WI; Osseio, WI, Eau Claire, WI. Gold Cross is an advanced life support ground ambulance that provides high-quality emergency medical care at the scene of traumatic or medical emergencies, and during transport to and between medical facilities. To learn more about our locations and services please visit http://www.mayoclinic.org/medical-transport/locations.html The EMT-Paramedic is responsible for delivering and administering high quality care and transportation to ill and injured persons. The EMT-Paramedic must demonstrate clinical competency and compassion in providing for the physical and emotional needs of patients. The Paramedic must have excellent judgment and be able to prioritize decisions and act quickly in the best interest of the patient, must be self disciplined, able to develop patient rapport, interview hostile patients, maintain safe distance, and recognize and utilize communication unique to diverse multicultural groups and ages within those groups. Must be able to function independently at optimum level in a non-structured environment that is constantly changing.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Current certification as Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic. Current Minnesota and/or Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic Licensure/Certification. Current ITLS or PHTLS. Current PALS certification. Current ACLS certification. Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification. Current and valid driver's license, Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Other Qualifications:
Associate or baccalaureate degree in paramedicine is preferred. Experience as an EMT/Paramedic preferred. Must be proficient in English; must have the ability to read, write, and speak in English.

License or Certification:
Current certification as Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic. Current Minnesota and/or Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic Licensure/Certification. Current ITLS or PHTLS. Current PALS certification. Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: Casual to Full Time
Schedule Details: Dependent upon availability at the time of job offer
Weekend Schedule: variable

Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended
