WE EXPECT TO RECRUIT AN ADDITIONAL 3-4 ESO'S FOR OUR CURRENT SUB-CONTRACTS IN JULY/AUGUST 2015 FOR BOTH LOCAL AND FIFO ROLES IN NT AND WA (FOR VARIOUS LNG CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS THAT WE HOLD CONTRACTS FOR).

We are looking for personable and passionate Emergency Response Officers who are interested in furthering their experience and skills and working in a close knit team. You will be a self-starter who is comfortable and reliable working on various projects and sites and is confident to work independently. You will be experienced in working shiftwork (12 hour shifts) as an emergency services officer.
You will be required to work as part of our team, wear our company uniform and support our emergency response operations by:
Assist in the control, confinement and/or suppression of fire and other incidents where there is a potential for a fire to occur for the purpose of protecting life and client assets and production capability
Assist in the control, confinement and/or stabilisation of incidents where person(s) are entrapped, injured and/or exposed to events that would adversely impact on their health and safety including structural and wildfire, structural collapse, industrial rescue, hazardous materials & dangerous substances
Conduct risk analysis for projects and planned works and preparation of SWMS, rescue plans, fire attack plans and emergency preparedness plans.
Participate in the activities of the Emergency Response Team and undertake Emergency Response & Life Safety Operations to ensure that all procedures, functions and tasks relevant to these positions are being adequately applied, followed and carried out.
Inspect and service equipment, keep accurate records and complete various research tasks
Complete accredited and non-accredited safety and emergency response training whilst on-site as an ESO (i.e. training volunteer emergency response teams on-site)
Travelling if required to locations within Australia to assist our team

Level of physical capability as determined by Fire and Safety Australia. ALL applicants must go through a physical fitness test (Level 7 on beep test and benchmark fitness assessment: including various ESO fire/rescue tasks)
ALL applicants shall complete an ESO Fire/Rescue/Safety skills test for FSA personnel to demonstrate their fire/rescue/medical practical skillset
Be able to work a 14 on/7 off roster (residential or FIFO role)
Be willing to put the needs of our clients and our company first in everything that you do
Completed at least three years as a Fire Fighter/Emergency Responder or in a similar position;
Level 3 First Aid or equivalent (HLTAID008 – Manage First Aid Services and Resources)
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue and/or Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting Operations or Fire and Emergency Operations);
PUASAR032A - Vertical Rope Rescue;
PUASAR025A - Confined Space Rescue;
PUASAR024A – Undertake Road Crash Rescue;
PUAFIR308B - Employ personal protection at a hazardous materials incident;
PUAFIR320 – Render hazardous materials incidents safe;
PUAFIR203B – Respond to urban fire;
PUAFIR204B - Respond to wildfire;
PUAFIR302B – Suppress urban fire;
PUAFIR303B - Supress wildfire;
PUAFIR307B – Monitor hazardous atmospheres;
PUAFIR207B – Operate breathing apparatus;
PUAVEH001B – Drive vehicles under operational conditions;
Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence;
Preferably you will also have:
Hydrocarbon Fire Fighting Experience
Course in Oil Spill Response Operations IMO Level 1
AIIMS Level 1
Undergo a National Police Check
Have emergency services, safety or similar highly regarded emergency services experience (real world) in a professional environment (preferably with Petrochemical and LNG emergency services experience)
Have excellent communication and computer skills
Be able to meet KPI's for training, administration and other activities
Be willing to learn new skills and continually update your qualifications
