Overview:

This is a continuing, full time position based at the Gold Coast campus.
The role:
The Academic Lead in Paramedic Education will be given the opportunity to develop a viable suite of Paramedicine Programs within the School of Medicine, as well as ensuring these programs meet all current program accreditation standards set by the Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA). This exciting new position will involve the establishment of ongoing collaborative partnerships that support learning and teaching, research and service within paramedicine, health professions and health care services.
This position will partner with the Menzies Health Institute Queensland, a large multidisciplinary research institute with a focus on chronic disease prevention, and also with the Health Institute for the Development of Education and Scholarship (IDEAS) based at the Griffith Health Centre, Gold Coast Campus.
The person:
The successful candidate will hold a relevant research higher degree or extensive relevant experience relevant to paramedic education. A demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills will ensure that you are capable to engage and form partnerships with external stakeholders. As the Academic Lead, you will have a strong track record of excellence in research, evidenced by your ability to attract research funding.
Salary range:
Associate Professor, Level D: $127,962 - $140,976 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $149,717 - $164,942 per annum.
