Job Summary
Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are currently taking expressions of interest for Paramedics/RNs with a passion for remote work and high quality care to join our team on a full-time
fixed-term contract with a roster of 14 days on, 14 days off based in Darwin. In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of professional and efficient emergency services such as patient support and injury treatment/management. Safety/HSE will be a primary focus due to the nature of the site.
In this role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing on-site routine general medical services
HSE duties
Safety presentations and guidance to workers
Emergency primary care of injured workers
Drug and Alcohol testing
Immunisations, IV and fluid management
Dressings and medication delivery
Documentation and patient contact / emergency care management
Liaison with all stakeholders within the workers compensation system
Training and development of site personnel
Reviewing and updating safety and health procedures
Managing maintenance and stock of the medical centre.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a flexible and dynamic Paramedic/RN with current registration. Role is primarily safety based due to the nature of the site. You must possess experience in remote patient care, life support and excellent clinical, treatment and emergency skills along with;
Bachelor of Paramedical Science or equivalent or RN qualifications
HSE/OHS qualifications (Cert IV or above)
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in either in remote emergency care
Possession of C class drivers license
Current BLS & ALS
Current Major Incident Medical Management & Support Advanced Certification
Current immunisation
