The Opportunity
The department is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to support the Masters of Emergency Health.
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to make contributions to the teaching and research effort of the University and to carry out activities to develop and maintain scholarly research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession. Specifically, you will be primarily responsible for contributing to the development of postgraduate curriculum materials, resources and services and strategic direction for the department.
You will be expected to have advanced qualifications in paramedicine and/or nursing and have a demonstrated academic knowledge of intensive care/critical care and/or aeromedicine subjects and clinical expertise.
You will also assist with the development of a research agenda in collaboration with other staff within, and outside, the department. This research agenda will advance community emergency health practice at the graduate paramedic level and will also underpin the associated education programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
providing coordination and leadership of the postgraduate programs (intensive care and/or aeromedicine) to our industry partners
undertaking research and other scholarly activities in clinical and/or education
designing, implementing and reviewing educational innovations
playing a leadership role in educational innovation, curriculum design and review
coordination of appropriate linkages between industry and Monash University.
