Paramedics needed for casual events & perm work

This is an opportunity to be a proactive member of the Safety Australia Group medical team as a private sector health professional. Your first priority will be to provide primary health care to sick or injured people and secondly to be a calming and reassuring presence on location.

There is a variety of roles available, some are autonomous and others are working with other team members. The role requires someone who is customer-focused with a strong accident & emergency background. If you are a proactive, autonomous individual who enjoys problem solving, with an ability to remain level-headed and think on the spot, then we encourage you to apply.

The Opportunity
Safety Australia has extra work available over the Christmas and New Year period into January 2016. We have something for everyone and are happy for casuals to earn extra cash over the December / January period. These roles are working with members of the public so great communication and customer service skills are essential for these roles.

The RoleThis role is to provide immediate primary care onsite. The role works closely with NSW Ambulance if the incident requires further treatment in hospital and it is perfect for someone who is an experienced practitioner looking for a change of pace or environment.

Incidents that our Paramedics and Registered Nurses generally respond are heart attacks, chest pain, breathing issues, trips, falls, sprains etc. A calming influence is important to ensure the utmost safety and well-being of members of the public.

Strong communication skills are required to undertake operational duties such as incident reporting, conducting first-aid kit audits & other duties as required.

This is ideal for someone who is looking for flexible working arrangements with a variety of shifts available to suit most people. Part time, casual or up to 40 hours per week available.

The Ideal Person Will Possess
Registered Nurses with 2+ years experience in Accident & Emergency + current APRAH Registration
Paramedics will be Diploma or Degree qualified with at least 12 months' experience as a Paramedic.
Compulsory current Police & Working with Children's Check
Current Advanced Life Support Qualification (desirable)
